DSI 310: Introduction to Forms - Training Review

Format

 • [Early 2021] I recently completed the “DSI 310: Introduction to Forms” course through DSI®’s Self-Paced Online Training. This is the first course I’ve taken this way.
 • This is a non-interactive course, so it consisted of watching videos.

Impressions

 • I enjoyed the course. The video and trainer were clear and went at the right pace for me.

 • I have taken in-person Forms training in the past and have extensive Forms experience, and I still took away some notes and tips from this short intro course.

Likes

 • The format of talking through the form controls and data controls during the demonstration of actually developing a Forms application.
 • Some portions of the demonstrated development were sped up to keep it from becoming boring, while also being slow enough that you can still see what was being done.

A note about the prerequisite:

 • This “Introduction to Forms” course would be a great introduction even if you have not taken the “Application Studio” prerequisite course yet.

Conclusion

 • Excellent introduction to Forms capabilities and development.
 • I would recommend this course to a friend.
